Description
A classic French beefsteak tomato with large irregular fruits. Late to mature, they have relatively few seeds and a delicious taste, and are ideal for salsas and salads, in sandwiches, grilled, or simply served with Mozzarella, olive oil and salt and pepper.

Sow indoors: Sow seeds from March - April in a seed tray or direct into pots or modules. Place in light at 21-24ºC. Pot on seedlings into individual pots as they grow. Once all danger of frost has passed, plant into greenhouse or into growbags, or harden plants off and plant outside in rich soil in a sunny spot.
Growing instructions: Tomatoes need a lot of light and a well draining fertile soil. Tie in to supports and keep well-watered (keeping water levels in the soil consistent prevents split fruit, so water more in hot weather and less in cool weather). Water the soil, not the plant as tomato leaves and stems dislike getting wet. Pinch out the tops once they have set 5 or 6 trusses of tomatoes. You also need to pinch out any side shoots straight away (as they grow very fast) that develop between the stem and main branches as they divert valuable energy from the developing fruits. Tomatoes will be ready for picking from July onwards.
