Description
Robelja is a dark red, round onion. Very high yielding and healthy, the onions have a subtly sweet, mild flavour and store reasonably well. Delicious in salads, salsas and sandwiches or used in a home made tomato sauce.

Sowing: Sow seeds from February in modules or direct outside in rows 30cm apart. Plant modules outside in April at distance of 30 x 10cm. Thin direct sown plants to 10 cm apart.
Once the stems have yellowed and bent over, onions are ready to harvest. Gently lift from the soil then allow them to dry out on the beds or on racks. Once the skins have dried out and become papery, onions are ready to be stored in a light, dry, well-ventilated place.
