Description
This beautiful hammered copper water jug is the perfect addition to your home. Since ancient times, Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking copper water. As per Ayurveda, when you store water in a copper vessel for a span of 4-12 hours (best stored overnight), the water becomes naturally alkaline, which helps balance your body’s pH levels. This happens because the copper vessel positively charges the water and energises it, making the water ‘live’ again. It also leaves it tasting silky smooth. Studies also show that copper has anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and self-sterilising properties. Modern science calls this the oligodynamic effect – the inherently toxic effect of certain metals on pathogens.

Volume: 1.5l.
For still water only. Not for carbonated drinks or hot drinks. Acidic liquids and milk may react with the metal.
Hand wash only. Wash with warm water and mild soap or salt water.
To deep clean the inside, put a table spoon of citric acid powder or descaler powder. Pour in hot water up to the neck and allow the mixture to rest for 2 – 5 minutes. Once you notice that the patina and dark spots have disappeared and your bottle is shiny again, you can rinse the bottle or glass and wash once again with luke warm water. Your copper jug is good as new.
The outer surface is coated with a food grade lacquer which protects it from oxidisation and discolouring. Cleaning the outside of your jug will eventually rub off the lacquer.
