Description
Perfektion has well formed white bulbs with a delicious anise flavour. Bolt resistant, the bulbs take three or four months to mature, but you can harvest at any size - baby bulbs can be enjoyed after only about six weeks. Fennel bulbs can be eaten raw, sliced or grated into salads, or cooked in all kinds of dishes. The young feathery leaves are also edible. The plants take up little ground space, so are ideal for containers.

Sowing: Sow under glass from February and plant out in tunnel or under fleece. For autumn harvest sow in situ from mid June until mid July.
Growing instructions: Planting distance 40 x 20 cm. Prefers a sunny position and moist but well-draining soil and plenty of water.
