Beetroot Canelles

Ingredients:
- 200 g beetroot, cooked and grated
- 100 g chopped, dried dates
- 2 eggs
- 190 g Holle Organic Apple and Bilberry Baby Food jar (or a different one)
- 100 g Holle Organic Baby Weaning Oil
- 200 g whole spelt flour, mixed with 2 tsp baking soda
- 3-4 heaped tbsp cacao, OR cocoa powder unsweetened
- Milk as needed
Method:
- Preheat oven to gas level 3/ 180 degrees.
- Beat eggs until fluffy, then add the oil.
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and cocoa powder, sift and stir in spoonfuls.
- Add the beetroot and fruit puree, carefully, so as to minimise the amount of air in the batter. The consistency should be thick enough to hold its shape for a short time before settling, but still a smooth, pourable liquid.
- Fill the moulds or ramekins. Bake for 20 minutes. Makes about 20 canelles.
